Commercial Insurance Sold Over the Phone?

I was wondering if it is possible to sell commercial insurance over the phone like we do auto and homeowners? I am meaning workers comp, liability, commercial auto, commercial property? Is this possible or do most companies want to always meet face to face?

Depends on the size and type of account.
Some smaller policies can be done on the phone....but most require some face time and data mining.( and it will vary by state req's also)

I don't know to many carriers that don't expect you to have seen the risk before submitting for binding.

Some small home based accounts, no big deal. Of course, no money either. Try doing a retail store, a restaurant, manufacturer, a car dealer, whatever, without a physical inspection? You'll never even get the rate right.
