Commercial truck insurance             Go to Top

Forgot to ask in last post for client. How high a deductible can he go for commercial vehicles(stake trucks). And what is the price difference from a $250 deductible compared to the highest. He has an hsa in health and likes the concept of paying all the small things upfront, and a $250 for trucks is way too low. Not concerned with paying a couple thousand oop.if there is a premium savings. Is there a $2500 deductible, $3000 etc. ?Any help will be appreciated

Re: Commercial truck insurance             Go to Top

There's no way to tell what exact premium differences there are between deductibles.

Most companies offer a 2500 deductible and that's pretty easy to get. Above that it's tough to find someone that offers it.

Going from 250 to 2500 should net you at least 25% savings on the physical damage. Of course, no savings would be realized on the liability.

The prices are going to vary by state, and the deductibles he can select is going to depend on his carrier. I'd have him call his commercial guy and shop the different deductibles and carriers.
