Equitable
Guaranteed Trust Life
American General
ING
RBC
Lincoln Heritage
Ohio National
Midland National
I think there were a few more that I found but those were the ones I remembered off the top of my head. Please provide me some feedback. Thanks.
There are many, many companies that will appoint independent agents.
I've personally enjoyed working with North American and West Coast Life more than almost anyone else. RBC is an excellent company as well. John Hancock is marvelous, as well as...man, there are like forty I could list off the top of my head that I or someone I know has had a positive experience with!
Is there a specific niche you're working? Some companies have a specific area in which they're especially strong. For instance, North American's UL table shave program has been good to me for older business owners. RBC is great for younger smokers, which is great if you're working with young startup folks. Final expense requires its own special little set of companies. If you're just getting started, it's important to learn the products you're selling inside and out - and that's tough to do if you contract with twenty companies at once! If you help us identify your target market, it'll be easier to focus on specific companies.
Some of these companies, such as Ohio National, will allow you to go direct. Others will ask that you go through an
IMO to contract (some don't require that, but IMOs can get you better contracts sometimes). If you need contracting assistance, let me know.
