I recieved a call from a fellow agent last night regarding contracting. They are stating they have recieved two new life/f.e. contracts with some very well known carriers. However, they recieved a writing number for one company last week, and recently the other writing number tuesday I do believe. Here is the problem or what they consider to be the problem.

These two companies are not showing up on their record when they look at the State Insurance Department webpage. These are two large and very well known companies. Has anyone experienced this before?

American-Amicable Life and Royal Neighbors.

I had this happen when I wrote for Old Mutual. Foresters showed up several weeks prior.

I think they wait until agent turns in an app before they formally contract.

Some companies show up faster than others. I've setup a few appointments in VA last year and it took about 2 months for them to show...I also left a captive company and that took about 3 months to be deleted. As long as you have a writing number I wouldn't worry about it too much.
