Coventry 2009 MA/MAPD/PDP commissions             Go to Top

I just received a voice mail from my Coventry FMO and he stated that while they haven't officially released their schedule, the commissions are going to be as follows:

MAPD - $500 level for 5 years
MA - $450 level for 5 years
PDP - $50 level for 5 years

Of course, some of you may have different contracts that allow for more or less. The question I have (and have left him a voice mail) does that mean anyone who is on Coventry now (2008) and renews for 2009, will we get the new commission or the same renewal we were getting already ($125)? Anyone know the answer?

I would have to say if the client Renews and the client had Coventry PFFS the year prior, Coventry will pay the old renewal commission not the 2009 schedule. It is only new biz going forward for this AEP

Sman... I want to take back what i said earlier about the Renewals. I can Guarantee you those clients renewing will be paid at the old commission level meaning 08. Any apps going forward from 11/15/08 on will be paid on the 09 schedule, Straight from Coventry..

No doubt about it! They are dangling the carrots before the donkeys to create a churning stampede.

You better be able to prove that any replacement business you do is "markedly" better than the one they had.

But they have sweetened the pot for new and renewal business. I see other carriers offering the same commission rates, like CIP.
