Well, whaddya know?! I just got my "true-up" from CHCKS. It is about time! Included was a separate check for some renewals which should have been sent earlier in the month. Why the delay, they didn't say. As a matter of fact, they have not kept us agents informed about the CMS fiasco nearly as well as the other carriers.

Interestingly, some chargebacks were listed even though these clients are still active... not coincidentally, these clients had issues with enrollment mis-spelling their names and having to re-issue their cards. I will certainly file an objection to them about this, but a word to the wise.... check out your chargebacks carefully and don't take their word for it,... they seem to be as inept as CMS.

January....

I called several times since the CMS "true up" data was given to other carriers. Coventry put out a notice that they were about to send the checks when they noticed some irregularities... this was in June. They promised to keep agents updated. Well, no word until yesterday.

I had called the Director of Sales three weeks ago, and he told me I would get my check the following Monday. This same guy promised to keep us informed back in June.... with promises and no performance, I learned to not bother asking, I would just get useless information. Anyway... glad this fiasco is almost over. I still have to demand payment for at least one client that I was charged back for that is still active. I expect this will take about 12 months to resolve if things continue as they have.

(BTW, I finally got Coventry corporate to credit my account for the wrongful chargeback on a PDP I made in 2007. That took over 12 months!)
