I think greed has created this mess and it will take a long time to shake out. It is having far reaching repercussions and it isn't over yet.

As far as the EU, it was doom from the beginning. It will be the first too fall and likely lead by Germany as the first player to back out.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the EU, but the Eurodollar will probably have problems. GB didn't buy into the Eurodollar, but clearly the economies over there are going through turmoil.

Other than that, I couldn't beleive the number of foreingers at the shopping malls this week (No, not the illegals, they're always there!)

The cheap dollar has its benefits. Yet though, I did not truly understood hatred till I live in Europe for a few years.

Hehe smart money started shorting the mortgage sector in the summer of 2006, I mean the writing was on the wall in the fall of 2005.

Think back to 1999-2000 when all the .com's became the .gone's
Lot of people lost there shirts to say the least.

But...

They didn't lose their homes, oil wasn't at $100+/barrell, food prices weren't skyrocketing.

I guess the similarity is that we still have an idiot running the Fed.

That is easier to do today, than last week... Seems that the 100 dollar bill may soon be worth little more than a book of matches... [based on the 1Trillion dollar bailout].

The fallout within the next 6 months to a year, will be shattering...

Yeah, what a joke, they say $700 Billion now, but look what happened to the $400 Billion prescription drug benefit boondoggle.

We'z going brokes!

Maybe Joe Biden's right - Democrats would be patriotic if they paid more taxes!

Today, DrudgeReport is reporting that the fed will now be bailing out foreign banks that do business here. They'll be buying up their bad mortgage loans, too.

It's just a matter of time.. the only thing to be in now is Gold... no question.

Now is the time to start talking about abolishing the Federal Reserve. Our economy should be based on the gold standard... Who'd actually want to read the Constitution though???

The time to start abolishing the fed was YEARS AGO.

The Constitution is no longer part of our country. We're governed by the whim of congress and the courts.

I think our country is basically doomed for a massive upheaval - and in our lifetimes.
