It really is amazing. Obama talks about raising taxes because he's freaked out about deficits and the national debt (oh, yeah, they're two different things!). So, how is the concept of raising taxes going to create new jobs? Even if the government were to be the "employer of last resort" raising taxes wouldn't help the deficits or the national debt.
And for all the Obamamaniacs out there that are listening to him yapping about spending $10-12 billion a month in Iraq, I ask you kindly, please tell me what we would otherwise be paying for the services of our Defense Department if we were not operating in Iraq. Last I heard our troops were not working for free, nor were they carrying around phony weapons and driving fake vehicles. Therefore, there is an overall operating cost of what we're doing, and an incremental cost of what we're doing. Perhaps Obama is confused about that as well?
