Just flicked the tube on for a second and there is a story surfacing saying that the chairwoman of the south carolina dem party just said that Palin's only qualification is that she has not had an abortion.
Get ready to say goodbye to the lipstick story. This flap will now cost Ohussein and the dems another 2-3 days of being on the offensive while McRommel advances with Field Commander Palin.
Frigging nutcase nasty comment for them to defend. Go for it.

S.C. Dem chair: Palin primary qualification is she hasn't had an abortion
South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”
Palin is an opponent of abortion rights and gave birth to her fifth child, Trig, earlier this year after finding out during her pregnancy that the baby had Down syndrome.
Fowler told my colleague Alex Burns in an interview that the selection of an opponent of abortion rights would not boost McCain among many women.
Among Democratic women and even among independent women, I don’t think it helped him,” she said.
Told of McCain's boost in the new ABC/Washington Post among white women following the Palin pick, Fowler said: "Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway."

The Obama camp doesn’t know what to do. One second they are beating the Clinton machine and doing speeches in front of tens of thousands of people and now they are losing to a Hockey Mom from Alaska.
They are desperate and it is showing.

As much as you would love to think it is true, Obama is not slipping in the polls. It will be deadlocked until the day of the election. Simple as that.
And do we really want to get into a pissing contest over which party has said stupider ****? I don't think so.....

Does anyone else notice the little evolution going on here where not long ago Nate was willing to make his first big bet/investment in life on McCain winning and now his last several posts seem to be emphasizing his keen insight that this is going to be a very close election? Looks like the goal is to be able to say I told you so no matter which way it goes. Dems are like deer in the headlights right now but trying to look like pundits all while they are picking themselves up off the floor. Go for it. Each week will give you a new reason to revise your comments as we go forward. Get used to it.

I agree.... 100% stupid..... but both parties have total whack jobs as part of them who say stupid things. That's my point here....
The whack jobs don't define the party, and won't change this election one way or another.
If Obama of Biden said that comment, it'd be a whole different story....

I never said he can't win. Americans have proven how gullible they are in the past... it very well could happen again. And if he gets elected, and the country is in worse shape than it is now in 4 years, I will be the FIRST person to say "You got what you deserved".....
I believe in Obama, and I think no matter how many BS attacks the republicans throw at him, he can still pull off a win.... and more so, this election will be close no matter what EITHER of them says or does.....
The country is very close to split between republicans and democrats.... it's the undecided voters and the independents that make the difference, and that difference has consistently been small....
It aint over till the fat lady sings.

Re: Democrats have lost their minds

I believe Obama is a great guy but he's coming 4 years too early. I don't think he'll cause any harm simply because Congress isn't gonna pass a single one of his "programs." So Obama to me is four years of stale mates.
I fear that he's too much of a weenie to go after international terrorists while McCain will keep up our secret CIA program of torturing the cr*p out of them...which is exactly what I want.

If the Reps win again, I will convert to Christianity so I can become a hypocrite - lying. cheating and stealing during the week and then asking a third party to forgive me.
Palin's daughter getting prego at 17 yells out at us that teaching 'abstinance only' doesn't work at all if the governor's own child didn't get it.
