Desire to Set Up Small Agency in NC

I am a licenced life and health agent in NC looking to start a small agency. I would like to carry life, LTC, MED SUPP, and annuities next year. I have a few questions I am sure on this site can answer.

*Is there an agency out there with similar setup that I can contact?

*With changes in LTC and MED SUPP, which one would you select if you could carry only one?

*Is there any other association other than IHAA available to agents that don't carry home and auto?

I would suggest to concentrate on the FE starting out because it is much easier to train people and you may have to deal with a lot of turnover as well starting out. You would definitely want to offer other products as well as your agency develops and you figure out who is gona be around for a while. Look for someone who can offer you FE contracts at around 130% so you will have money to spend on leads and other expenses. Fill free to drop me a mail if you want to talk sometime.

We have the setup you are talking about here is NC. Please let me know if I can do anything to help you get started.
