My pastor knows I send out mail every week for work and he asked me to look into how much it would cost to send a post card to every family in our town.

I talked to Chris at Lead Connections and he suggested I use someone local.

Does anybody have experience with something like this and able to point me in the right direction? We wouldn't need them to respond, so postage would just be one way.

Thanks guys. Exactly what I was looking for.

I think churches may also get a break on the postage as a non-profit.

Cactus seems to have really good pricing, but it seems like we could do it ourselves for cheaper.

We have access to a company that can print 5000 3x5 cards for $80. So we should be able to get a larger card printed for not much more.

So say we have them printed and mailed to us, can I then take them to the USPS and will they add the addresses and mail them with the cheaper 501 3c rates?

Or would we need to purchase a Resident Mailing List and put the addresses on ourself before taking it to the post office?

You should read about the EDDM program. It doesn't get a name on it and you don't need a list. https://eddm.usps.com/eddm/customer/routeSearch.action

They'll drop it by every house on that route. That's assuming you want to hit everyone. If you want to use filters like age, income, home value, etc, then you'll need to buy a list, but if the goal is to just hit everyone in an area that EDDM is amazing and you won't need a list.

And it's cheap too! We've used it several times for PSA type events at our preschool...if you are real familiar with your town, you can actually select the carrier routes that the mail is delivered too for a little more control

Yeah I was reading up on them last night. I think this would be our best bet. Thanks for the help guys.
