I don't know if I should be some kind of a sample quote the letter or not. Also should I place a postage paid envelope in it or not?

What else would you add to it?

The first sentence seems to end abruptly, at least to me. I think it should end it with "and we will work to save you money on your current insurance coverage, and help you fill any gaps that may have appeared in your coverage over the last few years because of life changing events that have happened to you and your family. I would also recommend taking out the word "probably", it's too negative and unsure sounding ,just my opinion, and I hope it helps.

how about researching the return rate on mailers.....and make sure you do it during Christmas.....

Not only does it matter what you are mailing,,but to whom you are mailing to.

I think there are simply things you can do to improve your return %.

We use to do a lot of " DRIP MARKETING " in the old days. meaning that we would mail the same list at least 3 times.

Instead of cash for cluckers, Obama should have made stamps half price and that would have done more good to help us.

A lot of mailings seems like trial and error for me.

I"m starting to think that postcards is better then letters.

WHich one do you think is better? Postcards or letters?

Mark what ever happened with your SPWL marketing plan? I'm still waiting to see a letter to market that product!
Show me the goods!!!!! Not a company brochure.

I don't normally market life insurance but the "hook" in your letter needs to be more precise or emotional IMO, you lost my interest shortly after the first sentence. I'm making 6 figures+ so saving a few dollars on the policy doesn't interest me.

Maybe emphasis on sleeping at night knowing you've guarded your family from the tax man and allowed them to continue with family vacations with thoughts of you in their minds...yada,yada

pull the reader in with a story, news, info. that their hungry for and response may increase

a story from one of your happy clients telling about how they were hesitant but gave you a chance and found that you were honest, trustworthy and now you've solved all their worries and now they're referring all their friends to you...

here's a few "cheatsheets" for ideas that others have had great success with

Did you ever get around to sending this or anything similar out. If so how did it work out for you?

Who you mail to is just as important as what you are mailing out. In general you will get about 1/2 of 1% response these days for life mailers.

I've been really working on some targeted list lately doing another mailing. I'm doing a term mailer, and going after a list of middle age women that coupon.
