Direct Mail vs. Telemarketed FE Leads             Go to Top

I recently spoke to a rather self proclaimed sucessful FE IMO. He told me that his entire organization has switched from direct mail to telemarketed FE leads. I was just curoius could anyone tell me their sucess/failure with Direct mail/ telemarketed leads. In personally mail the $255 type mailer for $325 per thousand, and have been getting approx 1.25% return. This Makes my leads cost abouy $26.00, The IMO states they buy telemarketed leads for about $15.00 per lead and have been quite sucessful.

Any input would be apreciated.

People better get ready to "sell" using an alternate lead type come September 2009. This is when the FTC and FCC will start enforcing their laws concerning auto dialers.

I am a big believer in them - but when the fines will be in the thousands - it won't make sense any more.

Tom looks like we are going to have to make the most out of the next 11 months and then figure something new out. Maybe mobile billboards? Or skywriting? Who knows what some crazy marketer will come up with that will be successful.

I actually own a sign company and we custom make and sell these.

A 4' wide by 6' tall by 8' long A-Frame collapsible trailer - painted black with a 12' x 8' Full Color Banner draped over and secured.

We sell them for $2995 with the banner.

Banner replacement is only $499 - $599 if you need our Team to do the artwork.

P.s. -

You can get a 8' tall enclosed trailer - with 6' x 8' scrolling banners - backlite for less than $10k. But - they are a pain in the arse . . .

Telemarketed leads can be a better source of reaching new clients if the company is reliable. It is tough out there to find a good source, but they do exist.
