Does Having a College Degree Help in Getting My License?Go to Top
I graduated from a college a few years ago with a business degree. I am curious to know if anyone has any feedback on whether or not having graduated will allow me to be exempt or otherwise from any of the course involved in getting my license?

Many thanks!
You have not said what license you are talking about. If for cfp or something related, your degree may give you some leverage. But if you are talking about the insurance license, no, you have to take the course and exam.

Thanks for the quick input! I am going to get my Insurance License. I was just curious to know if having had graduated if it would allow me to bypass some course work.

The real question should be 'does a college degree help in selling insurance?' for many are called but few can sell.

Whenever I'm feeling particularly poor, I'll shave off the beard and mustache, dig out my college ID, and hit up the local student discount restaurants.
The actual degree...you know, I'm not even sure where mine is.

You're right. It ain't New York City and it ain't San Francisco and it ain't Los Angeles and it ain't Chicago... which means we're still in Kansas. Oh... the horror.
