Ummmm...hate to break it to you but the first best thing they can do is get rid of retiree health care. Let them eat Medicare and Medicare Advantage!
I think if the Big 3 weren't so reliant on fleet deals and flooding the rental market, they would have been competitive a long time ago.
There are 4 Ford dealerships that have closed within 20 miles of me (okay, technically one is more about 30 miles but then the guy who bought it and took it bankrupt within a year didn't know what he was doing). It really is sad though.
As far as fleets, hands down once we drove a Chrysler 300 (the current model) that is my preferred rental of choice. Prior to that I was really happy with those Dodge things (the Chrysler 300 prior model). Huge trunk holds lots of suitcases.
I can't even think of a Ford vehicle that is not a truck.

No doubt, Chrysler has some interesting and good looking auto's coming out. Yet they seem in more trouble then Ford!
