E&O Coverage             Go to Top

Is is necessary to carry E&O coverage to solicit health insurance product in the state of MD? I was under the impression that this coverage was geared toward variable products.

If it is required, what are some of the better carriers out there?
Thanks!!

Your carrier(s) will tell you if E&O is required. Most carriers do require it now.

Re: E&O Coverage             Go to Top

My E&O coverage is only $38.17 through NAPA. You have to sign up with one of the Loyal American Companies and sell at least a few contracts within a year to maintain it.
$150 from now through end of year. But, then, it will be $38.17 monthly. I simply got mine too late in the year to get the better rate because there is an annual NAPA membership fee and a $2.50 monthly admin fee.
I have not found anything that touches the $38.17
EXCEPT Lloyds of London through Parker, but you are only covered with them through the companies you write with them. The NAPA E&O is for anyone you are contracted through, with any FMO.
Hope this helps.
If anyone needs the application, I have the front page, I will just forward to you because the company you sign up with will depend on what you sell. Then, you can contact them directly for their contract. Loyal American is also United Teachers which has GREAT-GREAT rates on med supps.
