Hi All:

I know several agents (P&C) who've been slapped with E&O claims from their long term clients. The insurance carriers denied the claim and resulted in lawsuits that could go to trial.

Anybody else noticing this trend in their markets?

Thanks R

A very interesting first post. What are you selling?

Nothing....I've been an agent for many years and noticing a trend. The moderators can clearly check the email account I used to see at registration that I'm a legitimate property and casualty agent with a very large agency.

What is your experience with this issue?

Interesting...i will ask my buddy who sells PC.

Wonder what the details were regarding the case?

How could the agent be responsible for coverage that was written?

Couldn't there be a legal grey area (or a claim of negligence) if the client felt that their coverage was inadequate? Or that the agent failed to inform them of all of their options? Or if the client is just a jerk?
