ok so i am speaking with my underwriter and my renewal agent and it doesnt make sense to me.
i am indy brokerage doing business as a corp. ABC INC.
for p&c but my l&h contracts are only with me as an individual, because they dont contract with just any corps.
now my e&o coverage should cover my company and all the agents under it who writes business thru ABC INC. first.
now the complicated situation is my L&H carriers does not pass thru ABC INC at all since they will only appoint me as a individual.
one agent of my e&o said as long as i report the income on my renewal i am covered, another said i should change my individual license as ME DBA ABC INC.
would i just be covered because i am the president of the company and all my commission that is deposited in my individual account will be forwarded to my ABC INC account and listed as income.
so confused! please advise generally.
