Elections will doom MA's             Go to Top

McCain is getting behinder and behinder.

The dems are looking at both houses of Congress and the President will be the further left member of the Senate. Obama is a far, far left guy and giving him a majority in both houses with a veto proof senate is like giving him a loaded gun. He can take down anything he aims at.

MA's will be the first to go. Congress will not kill them outright but will cut any subsidy and just let them fend for themselves. Premiums are already going up bigtime and then when all subsidy is removed you will be looking at just a small split between them and a supp, in some instances a supp will be cheaper. By then millions of people will have lost their guaranteed right to go back to a supp as many have already.

What a mess.

"The Messiah" will first look at the polling data to see how the seniors voted. Punishment or reward will be applied accordingly. Look, this guy is a moron. Absolutely no core values and that is why he has so many controversial friends and advisers. He has never had an original thought. I really don't think he'll do anything that could be perceived as "hurting" the elderly. I do think MA is gone, but the spin will be "George Bush hung this failed health care around the necks of the elderly, and now we have to fix it". The fix will be in alright! They will take an already "socialist" system (medicare, medicaid, etc.) and make it "socialisterrr" Which means NO EVILLLLL INSURANCE COMPANY! And heaven forbid, we can never have "salesmen" involved!! Evil personified to a elitist that has never depended on a salesman to help him meet payroll.

I'll vote for this dude

From his statements about MA, I think your assessment is correct. I only hope that when they dilute the MA's they force a guaranteed re-entry to Med Sups beyoond the one year for existing customers. If not, we have done irreparable harm to those clients.

So, why has Bush's CMS deserted the free market system?

Their baby, this Medicare expansion of Part C and Part D, could have had a successful 2009 Annual Enrollment Period. Now they will leave it dying on the vine. Another failed attempt to modernize the Medicare program, so it may survive one more generation of entitlements.

People like us carry the water for them. And CMS's final act of this dismal administration is to kill off their troops. Kill the messengers. Durring Hillary Care, we were the ones out on the streets who told the story of what a socialized healthcare system would look like. We helped to thwart the socialization of healthcare.

Now, we are the Evil Churners.

And "CHANGE" is an acronym of things to come.

Ok first things first, Government exists as Pro Bono Publicus, for the unscholared, that means for the good of the people. And in a Republic Vox Populus, Vox Domani or the voice of the people is the voice of G-d ... If you look HR6331 there is very little reform outside of the section dealing with Brokers, why ? because some brokers have been screwing up a lot beneficiaries for a fast buck. too many horror stories ...

Dont forget the old euphamism 1 bad apple spoils the bunch ... for instance I worked with an agent that had 12 complaints to UHC and they just kept letting him sell.

So at the end of the day I blame it on the carriers for not weeding out bad agents and not the government for regulating A GOVERNMENT FUNDED PROGRAM in the interest of the beneficiaries.

And as a side note there is no such thing as a free market when the programs are government funded ... oxymoron.

Watch AARP. If a candidate wants a very large share of the senior vote, they will have to have AARP on their side.

AARP said that they are behind MA plans as long as they are funded at 100% of Medicare capitation rates, not any more.

PFFS plans may go to the way side, and PPO and HMO plans will either have higher co-pays or higher premiums (or a combo of the two).
