I had been using Outlook which gave me a 'bing' when an email arrived. Since it required maintentence, I have been using my ISP. Their's doesn't bing and neither does Yahoo.

I need a web based email that will alert me at my PC when I get mail. Any ideas? I work by myself.
Thanks,
Joel

I think Thunderbird might do that. Mozilla | Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client

Oops, sorry, Thunderbird is not web-based...

Hire a midgit to sit at your PC and stare at your email. Give him a whistle so he can blow on it when an email arrives.

OK, if you don't like the whistle, he can ring a bell.

Thanks, it did the trick. Now my leads go to gmail and I get my 'bing' and a flash card.

I missed a MAPD app today because I didn't know it came in, while I wasn't on the phone but at my desk, and the person signed right up with AARP. That ticked me off.

Thanks for the answer.

Glad to hear you got the midget working...

How much did it cost? The "little people" here are expensive...

Re: Email             Go to Top

I wonder how many posts, on average, it takes before a thread degenerates.

I'll add my 2 cents to continue the downward spiral of this thread:

Supposedly the actors who played munchkins were unhappy with their pay and sang the "the bitch is dead" as a negotiating tactic. I do not know if they got their pay raise or not.
