The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) did a recent survey on employer-provided benefits, including wellness programs,weight-loss initiatives, bonuses, and pensions. The general takeaway? Organizations are much more likely to increase investments in programs that clearly demonstrate business-benefiting value. It was sponsored by Colonial Life and Accident Insurance.

Even with voluntary benefits, the employers want to know what's in it for them. Some carriers and agencies are being creative about different ways to add value other than just offering more choices to the employees.
