Group Health Question (full and Part Time Employees)

I have a client who is in need of group health insurance....

She works full time and has a part time worker who gets approx. 20 to 25 hours per week.

Will any companies in GA consider them a group?
I have already checked with Assurant and Aetna.

Thanks.

Have you researched any local Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) or some type of employer trusts? They might be able to help you out.

All the PEO's I know of have internal sales people.
Why would you suggest a plan that you cannot get paid from?

I wouldn't.

I just worked on a case where the broker put the client with Gevity. I asked the same question to him, as I lost out on the disability and life, and he said that Gevity pays him commissions.

And if there are smaller regional PEOs in his area then I am sure he/she could work out a cut with whoever owns it as long as it was mutually beneficial.

Of course you could do what's best for the client, put them in the PEO, and get referrals. Sometimes what is best for the client is not what we have to offer.

Example: Macy's Gimbels.
