More employers are offering wellness programs than ever before, according to the 2015 Aflac WorkForces Report. Close to half the businesses in the survey report offering a company-sponsored wellness program, up from 30% in 2012. The report says insurance brokers noted a similar trend, with 53% saying they regularly recommend wellness programs to their clients.

Offering these programs seems to raise employee satisfaction and retention levels, and back in the 2012, the report found implementing an effective wellness program reduced the number of sick days by an average of 28% and there was a 30% reduction in workers comp and disability management claims.

While the first link is to the 2015 Aflac report, the second features an interesting case study.
