Does anyone know what the process would be for a U.S. citizen who is living outside of the states to get their insurance license? Are there (m)any states that allow this?

The Philippines technically, but my suspicion is that you didn't much care. I have a telemarketer that is living overseas and had his p&c license for 10 years before, but it's since lapsed. Rather than having him fly back out here I seem to vaguely recall there being a simpler process, but I could be mistaken. Has anyone either done this before or know where to start the process?

Don't know about that one....but I will say that your profile pic there just got me in trouble with the Mrs. when she walked by and saw it!

Now she is questioning whether this is really an insurance forum....

I suspect the answer to your question is to get him non-res licensed for whatever states he will be calling.


I think I would like to relocate to China and sell life insurance there. Yellow fever has the best of me.
