Okay if died today, how much would your family need to stay in this house and also to be okay.

We need to look at your assets and your debts.

Some commons things are Home, Funeral, Replace the income, College, Credit Card Debt.

Find out the monthly income for the family. Deduct the current bills. Whatever is left is the life insurance premium you recommend.
