Appointment Setter

For those of you who utilize the services of an appointment setter, how do you structure their payment? Do you pay a set amount for each appointment generated, or an hourly base pay? How much per appt? How much base pay?

It seems to me that paying for each appointment set would be the best way for an agent to make sure the appt setter is working toward the goal of just getting the appointment set.

Thanks!

$12-$16 per set appointment, whether a no-sho or not...

Thanks...where / how do you find a quality appointment setter? Do you have the setter do any qualifying or simply just set a time / date?

$16 only if they sit. A no show is not paid.
Per appointment is the best way to keep your calendar full, no sit no pay is the best way to keep quality appointments.
Provision being if it's a no show, you call the setter and they can confirm the no show....keeps everyone honest that way!

So it is the appointment setters fault they no showed you after they made the appointment for you?

Hourly plus bonuses. Telemarketers have tons of options for performance based campaigns and anyone worth their salt can find steady work with an hourly position. The reality is that the mindset of a telemarketer is going to be more inclined to wanting the hourly vs commission only.

So like $10-$12 an hour plus bonuses?

Thanks for all your feedback. Have any of you had success in finding an appt setter by placing an ad on Craigslist?

Depends on the area, but that's about right. The way I've done it is running CL adds in different areas and then had them dial from home using a dialer. There are a lot of good telemarketers that work from home full-time. They can be hard to find, but if you don't mind where they live it opens a lot of options up to you.

CL in the Phillipines can work too, but there is a learning curve with that. You can get some solid reps out of Manila for $6-$8 usually.
