Coroners Grapple in Pennsylvania With Rising Numbers of Unclaimed Bodies

There were stories about 10 years ago of Detroit having the same problem. Lots of broke people out there these days.

Broke people can still squeeze in the monthly premium for a $2000 or $3000 policy to cremate them if they really cared about their survivors.

Wasn't it Pennsylvania where a major newspaper ran an op-ed piece recently urging seniors to ignore cards they received in the mail offering final expense insurance, saying it was a scam preying on the elderly? And this article blames the survivors for not assuming the "responsibility" of burying their loved ones.
