Foresters Final Expense Over the Phone

Can anyone tell me what is the deal with foresters final expense over the phone? Can it be sold over the phone or not? I was told only a few marketers across the nation have permission to sell foresters over the phone with Parker and Associates being the main one?

RIght now it is meant for call centers.... ANy IMO can get you permission to do it, if you have a call center or if they beg.

I'm allowed to do it.

Right now it is still in the testing phase...

Yes it can. We have a few agents trying it now.

They have developed a pretty good system. It's not perfect, but much better than most over the phone processes.

A lot more companies will be going that way soon..

Assurity Life does it now on most of their products and will have all the products done that way soon..Almost all of them are now..

Hmm, interesting stuff. The exact opposite of the rep at Foresters said. It looks like Foresters and Parker have some sort of agreement/parternship now.

According to the rep, UNLESS you are working in a call center you can only sell Foresters at your house via the phone working through Parker. The rep also went on to say that Parker promised them 12 million in fe business this year and they are 75% there already.

Nope, not true at all. If you attend the training, which we provide, too, you can sell over the phone. As you go along, though, certain criteria must be met with regard to persistency in order to continue to be able to sell with the voice signature option.

One thing that is different than most other carriers, at this stage, is that the Foresters system requires that the client stay on the phone to hear every disclaimer read to them in their entirety. Baltimore Life, and others, shorten this to a great extent by relying on the agent to convey that information prior to the recorded call with the third party.

With the Foresters system, the agent enters information into a secure web site, akin to taking the PlanRight application over the phone. A three-way phone call is then placed to the verification company and they verify the information that was provided. They then ask the health questions of the client on a recorded line and then make the immediate determination (based on MIB and script check) as to whether it meets underwriting criteria. The disclaimers are also read by the verifier/operator during that call. The typical call is taking 23 minutes with the verifier on the other end. That does not include the agent time in making the sale or gathering the initial application information. So it can be a long process, but it works.

The speed of issue with Foresters right now cannot be matched, and this is yet another tool that's making Foresters one of, if not THE, fastest growing insurance providers in the country right now..
