License Requirements

What are the minimum requirements to sell Final Expense in TX?

You can either obtain a life license which means either 36-40 hours of classroom training and pass a difficult test or you can get a limited life license to sell small face amount policies. I believe you can sell up to $25,000 face amounts and you don't have to go to class or take a test. Most states have similar license.

Yes, I have some Pre-Need agents on my squad that sell a lil FE part time when it falls in their lap without a license. However, there is a limit of 20k of total aggregate direct premium per year that you they can sell before they have to get a license here in THE GREAT STATE of Texas.

My squad uses Columbian for that purpose.
