Hello,
It's my week to work with felony convictions.

1) 29 male smoker - ADD & bi-polar, felony conviction 8 years ago. Wants non med life insurance. Can anyone recommend a carrier who would take this?

2) 50ish male smoker - lots of health issues - felony conviction in the 90s.

Thanks.

Re: Life/Final Expense for Felony Conviction

I cannot speak to the non-med companies, but many fully underwriten companies only look back 5 to 10 years for felonies and end of probation. So, you are probably good on that. The real question is, just how bad is their health?

If the Felonies were not for "major" offenses like murder, drug distribution etc, they are off probation and of course not in prison they should not be a factor,
1. ADD is only a problem for you trying to deal with the guy. Bi-polar could be a problem. Fidelity Life and Assurity will now offer ratings on their non-med. Either could work.
2. Not enough info. But the same applies relative to the felony.
