SLAC Disability Over Age 65?

SLAC question reads as follows:
"8. In the last 6 months, have you been disabled or received disability compensation? "

My question is I have an applicant age 67, SMK who apparently was on disability before age 65, but he's saying that he receives both Social Security Retirement in addition to Disability payments (???)

My understanding is that a person on disability who reaches age 65 will still get the same amount of monthly payment, but it's no longer considered disability but rather regular SS retirement...thus he's now considered simply 'Retired' rather than 'Disabled.

Other carriers which have disability questions usually include the wording "if under age 65 and disabled' need to answer 'Yes'.

But SLAC does not have that wording.

Any help or clarification out there please? I've used the search, and this specific has not come up :-)

(most carriers are in the same range, but as usual, smoker SLAC is price leader by a large margin)
