I do believe some recently complained about the "quality" of their leads hit the "search" button and type in their name and you should find what you are looking for. However you might have a good experience with them, what state are you in?
Thanks for the info. I decided to give FESL's a try. I also am having doubts about the quality. Out of the first four leads I received here in Wisconsin, two were other insurance agents. One just curious about final expense, the other totally upset that I returned his call. Said he never asked for information and not to call him again. I find that kinda raw, as he would have had to initiate a call back in the first place. However, out of the other two leads, I have 3 policies pending. Not too bad. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the leads pan out.
I tried them.....bought 30 let me break it down for ya
3 Were DEAD, as in "graveyard" dead
6 Phones were disconnected
4 Claim they didn't respond
9 Thought they were participating in a survey with
an "Out-Reach Center" and already had the coverage
or had NO interest in getting more info.
5 Wanted off their calling list
2 Being treated for Cancer
1 Wanted to set an appointment......oh, she was 86
Bottom line they aren't marketers, they are practicing
on YOUR dime...save your money
30 fresh leads between the ages of 58-80 should produce 15-17 appointments resulting in at least 5 sales, should
be closer to 7 or 8 sales
Buying leads from unknown sources is always a crap-shoot
but FinalExpenseSalesLeads.com is a waste of time & money
It's highly improbable if not mathematically impossibly to
achieve those results as a marketer if your putting forth
A decent effort. Hell...even a broken clock is right twice a day
No sour grapes here...been doing this for 18 yrs...ya win
some - ya lose some. Just trying to save you and others
from wasting your time.
I actually have had good luck with their leads. I've ordered 20 leads a few times and ended with 3,5,4 sales respectively. For dialer leads this has been about the best I've done. One thing that I have found to help quite a bit - I ALWAYS contact the people within 24-48 hours of receiving the lead info, and 1 thing they're definitely good at is getting you the lead info in a timely manner.
I think the guy there at finalexpensesalesleads.com told me now that they have the second option to be removed from the calling list more agents have been doing well with the leads.
FYI - my 3 orders were all completed in December 2008 and January 2009 and I plan on sticking with them as long as I make sales...
Im an independent in North Alabama and I service the areas here otheragents and Companies don't waht to go. Just left Liberty National for Reasons of Ethics, Looking for a more respectable company to represent here that is authorized to do business in Alabama, and a lead company that wont break my bank the first week back out. Any suggestions or recomendations would be appreciated....

Do you smell something? Brand new member to the forum here. With his second post, he's recommending a company that others had trouble with. Do I smell something here? Do you smell that too?
Anybody ever try running display ads for final expense in the obituary section of a newspaper?
I'm running a business card size display ad for health insurance in our local newspaper for 90 days. It's going in the business service display ad section of the classifieds.
I thought if the ad works for health insurance, I would also try one in the obits for final expense.
One of my New years resolutions was to do less lead buying and more lead creating this year.

I would be willing to try it. Those people know how important Life Insurance is and how much they need it.
I didn't know you could run an ad in the section. But as long as it's on the same page, I think it could work.

Great idea! Please report your results... very interested. Nothing like targeting your ideal client...

Might be a little late if they have already died...
Kind of like selling auto ins at the body shop...
ACtually not a bad idea... I'm just being a wise guy, but it did strike me as funny initially, before I realized it is thinking outside the box... but still funny, a little.

You may want to start your own thread and get better results. Just trying to help.
I have a company in the final expense market that will do leads at a good rate and is in alabama. Also can offer good contracts with them. Give me a mail if you want to talk about them.

So i checked the rates, and they were surprised to hear of the marketing campaign idea, cause noone i guess up here in ohio (the plain dealer) has ever wanted to advertise in the obits. it was around 400-500 a day for a 2x3 (actually a 3x4). they broke it down 25 less per day depending on the packaging of 8, 16, 32, and 50 week campaigns. Sounds expensive, but i know for a fact that people 45 and older look at obits to see if anyone they know died, which is the perfect age group. If i had the money id run a campaign....
Oh btw, she told me that theres a possibility of my ad getting bumped to some other metro section if there were too many obits, i told her i wouldnt spend the money if it was gonna get bumped, i asked if there was a way to snatch the ad before it got printed, she said she would get back to me, she never did, she was acomplete idiot, didnt know pricing or any product knowledge (thats ohio for you).
Anyways, great idea, noone else is doing it, lots of exposure, but very expensive.

I have been running ads in the obits for about 5 years now.
If your paper lists the relatives of the decedent, you can further you marketing by cross-referencing whitepages to get the address's of the relatives and sending them out a simple life insurance letter.
I have found that this marketing letter has a better response rate than the actual ad. Let me know what you think.
