If you start as an independent, what is the first thing that you do to find companies that provide insurance that you want to work with ?

What do they provide to you to educate you on their products ?

Do they provide software tools that you can use to quote your prospects ?

What type of paperwork do you typically have to sign with them ?

Hungry for knowledge !

There are a lot of things to look for when searching for a company. I would suggest looking for a company that provides a solid website that has all the forms and everything you need on it, as well as informational tools. I would look for a company that is willing to help train you on the products and in the field. Offers a lead system but does not force you to use them, offers competitive commission structure, etc.
