Anybody know if there is a system (free or pay) or company that uses joint venture marketing or strategic partnering to create a referral network so I can get quality prospects? I am SO tired of direct mail seminars for all the various and obvious reasons and am looking for a new system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
In short, partnering with other professionals in your area that see your same client types (in my case retirees) for mutual benefit. It needs to be done with a professional whose clients trust them deeply like an estate planning attorney so they can transfer that trust to you when they refer their clients to you. I have seen this work in other industries and I would love to find someone or some organization that has created a program to follow to implement this.
Assuming that you want local partners, you're probably better doing it yourself than using a "system."

I agree.
I would be very reluctant to turn my client list over to say another agent or anyone else for them to use to prospect for their services. I am very protective of my clients.
That being said, I have a P&C agent who is a good friend and he and I are like minded and work very well together. Our business relationship is very low key and neither one of us "pester" the others clients. We just let our clients know that help is available if they are interested.

Hmmm... Thanks for the replies, I guess I'm looking for something that may not exist in this market yet. I want more than simply exchanging client list. I want to add value to a professional to the point where they refer clients voluntarily to me. I have seen systems and coaching for a similar concept in other industries but none for the annuity/life insurance market. Has anyone heard of this being done for our industry? Thanks again guys!
Bob (the insurance guy) does as good a job as any of cultivating relationships for referrals. He is on the forum. You can also contact him through his website.
