Moving Your Agency

I have hit the 8 year mark at my current location. My husband and I HATE it here, but we tolerate it because of family, and kids are in school, etc. We recently turned down an offer to move to another state mainly because of my business.

I've been mildly successful with what I'm doing and I feel like I'm stuck here because of it. Has anyone successfully moved their agency from one state to another? Did it survive? Grow? Fail?

Should I even try? Maybe sell and start over? It scares me to even think about it, because I've spent a lot of years building my pipeline and to have to start from scratch won't be easy.

Thoughts?

I'm thinking of starting a new branch down in LA just because I have a ton of friends down there. Would start an entire separate company due to California taxes...

I live in Seattle now and doing extremely well with Individual Health Insurance & Term Life...yet it rains to damn much for me after being here for 10 years.

Any advise on running two locations?
