W-9 Insurance Sales Person

I work as a W-9 Insurance Sales Person but I am only allowed to sell P & C products. Since I am a w-9 sales person, can I sell other insurance products through another w-9 Health and Life Insurance Company?

A W-9 means that you're allowed to work in the United States using a social security number.

A W-2 means that you are a salaried/hourly employee.

This is a W9 form:

So... you want to "sell under the table" with a non-correlated business line?

Check your employment contract. I'm sure you have one. My guess... would be that it isn't allowed.

Keep in mind that companies can generally check your company appointments on your state DOI site... and see when you got appointed with them. If that's the case, you'd have to explain to your employer why you're representing other companies... and how you're keeping that activity completely separate from your employment.
