Georgia no longer Pre-Appointment State !!!!!
SO you are now allowed to write business and send it in with a contract.

Ga was one of the few states that still required this and I love this change.

From what I understand, NC still requires it.

I think there are only 2 or 3 left that require it. Not sure why.

PA and NC are pre-appoint states as of 1/1/2009

Yep, and NC has gotten a little tougher about enforcing it too.

Hooray for NC and Pa, didn't realize they had that in common.

Mark, do you have a link to the DOI site where this change is noted? Just got an email from a local IMO stating GA is still pre-appointment.

In the same email, they say Genworth is cancelling all appointments if the agents have not produced business in the previous 12 months. I never understood that practice. Most carriers just bill the agent for the appointment fee.

GTL and American Amicable both send me an email telling me of this.

I was told it would go up on the site on Jan 1st 2010.
