A person's out of pocket expenses are totally subjective to each person's need for healthcare. I'd have a hard time using $90k as a blanket statement in any presentation or marketing practice.

The most I've ever seen a supplement pay (therefore the client would have to pay if they didn't have the supplement) was just at $1m... over a year plus of serious health conditions paired with a brutal fight with lukemia (sp?).

I totally agree. The person would be dead long before their part would even come close to $90,000 unless we are talking about pesos and not dollars. I couldn't tell that to anyone with a straight face.

I'm sorry if you were one, but I put most CIP agents in the same class as politicians and used car salesmen.

Try kidney dialysis 3 times a week...52 weeks a year.

I'm not saying the 20% would add up to $90,000, but it wouldn't be terribly far off.

That's not a nice thing to say! CIP has some of the only plans that cover special needs in MO. True, they are not a cure-all, but have their place. If you only deal with Med Sup clients, I am sure you may not appreciate the problems of those at the bottom rung of the economic ladder.

My point is that CIP publishes the information about Original Medicare exposure, and it is approved by CMS.
