Agents in Illinois??

I was hoping anyone in Illinois could give me their thoughts about Chicagoland SIA or Smart Choice? Are there any other companies in the Chicagoland area that they would advise a me to look into? I have my Health and Life and getting my P&C licence next month. I was hoping maybe someone here went independent and could share their experiences. Thanks!

Not in IL, but saw your post. You can call the non standards like Progressive, National General, Foremost to start. They are much more willing to appoint someone new. For the preferred carriers, you will need to join a network, cluster, aggregator. The good ones will typically require 3 years experience. By good, I mean giving you quote and binding power.
