Thanks to anyone who weighs in. I have about 2 years insurance sales experience from nearly 10 years ago. Currently I am in discussions with both ANICO and State Farm. I am looking to start my own captive agency and am wondering if anyone has had recent experience as an agent with either one? State Farm seems to have incredible pay during the 17 week training program whereas ANICO's is decent. Although, I am just getting better feeling about ANICO. Is it true that if I bust my butt and do everything right I could make a significant income ($90k+) my first year?

In short, you're going to need to do some due diligence on local rate comparisons to make sure you can be competitive for P&C.
