Good Split?

Hi, I've been reading some threads here and looks like there's a lot of knowledgeable people here, I'm looking for some input....

I'm new to the insurance world but do have some sales background. The agency I plan on working with has been great so far, I'm just trying to find out what a fair commission would be for both parties.

The agency has no csr so I would be responsible for selling, quoting and servicing (at least for the time being). What's a good split? No salary, 100% commission, will also get renewals.
 
If I'm the agency hiring you I pay 75% New and 75% Renewal year one, decreasing by 5% each year for each until its 45%

I provide 401K, life insurance, CSR Support and cell phones.

Seriously though, aside from training... You are doing all the work... I wouldnt take less than 75% new and renewal, and if they did offer less I would likely decline and just start my own agency.
 
Thanks, the position would be 1099 so no benefits. I guess the only thing the agency offers is some support and access to carriers.
