Help Please

I am a licensed sales producer. Life, prop, casualty for Allstate. I am getting paid 21,600 a year + 2% commissions on new business. Stuck doing a lot of service work and still managed to pump out 40+ items last month to recieve only a 240$ commission check... Is this fair?

I am in your shoes. I am a state farm team member, I make 24000/yr base and about 5% on all new auto and home, 10% on life, 10% on health. and I thought I was paid crappy, but it is what it is. For the amount of work involved and the epic sales that you make, I'd just leave. GO SELL CARS at a reputable dealership, the same amount of work nets you 80k/yr. If you can sell 40+ apps per month, selling cars is a breeze and its a tangible product. I really hate how low the commission is on insurance versus the amount of work to be done.
