New Broker Focusing on Supplements

Hi,
I am fairly new to insurance but I have 15 years sales experience in other industries. I am looking to start my own agency. I would like to focus on supplements (critical, cancer, accident). I would also like to focus on worksite sales. Anyone have advice? I have just now started my research, while still working elsewhere.
What companies are best to contract with for these products?
What kinds of "minimum" requirements am I up against?

Thanks in advance.

What makes you want to focus on those types of policies?

I mainly sell life and cross-sell the types of things you're talking about as well as financial products. There is much less demand for CI and DI type policies and I feel like I'd go broke if that's all that I did.

I would have to agree with AlTheGud1sRtakn on this one. If you want to focus on supplements such as cancer, accident, and critical illness products it's going to be difficult as these are typically ancillary products. There is certainly money to be made in worksite, your location and networking skills will play major factors in your success. With a strong work ethic and a well thought out and implemented plan you just might make it though.

Best of luck in your fairly new endeavor!
