Question About Initial Licensing Application NIPR

I am planning to open an independent agency in Maryland. I am currently not licensed and not active in the insurance industry. As I fill out the application for new producers, one of the first things I need to do is select "License Type - Business or Individual". Which comes first, a business license or an individual license?

Before licensing an entity (partnership, LLC, or Inc.), there needs to be a licensed agent (individual).

You want individual.
