I see GM's back at it - now they just need 2 more billion and the govt's gonna cave and give it to them.

Listen, a relative of mine about 10 years about had to make the hardest decision any parent could possibly make. They had to break off all communications with their son who had become hooked on drugs.

They tried everything; lending him endless money, paying for rehab, etc...What happened in the end? He broke into their house and stole...well, almost everything. All the cash, tv, dvd, etc...

It was at that moment my relative came to the conclusion that he could no longer help. If his son didn't want to change there was nothing he could do. How drastic did it get? He actually had to move and his son no longer has his contact information.

I think that's the hardest call any parent could make. Likewise the hardest call Obama can make is letting GM go - they're done and let them go out of business. For whatever reason they could no longer make it in the market.

Yes, letting them go under will have huge rippling effects but guess what - that'll be short term. We cannot teach companies that they can become too big to fail. If we do management learns they can basically do everything and the gov't in their safety net.

You are just too cynical. This is it. When they get this money everything will be straightened out. They just need one more little nudge.

GM can't fail, imagine what that will do to the AFL-CIO and UAW. Where will democrats get huge campaign contributions?

You have nailed it on the head. As long as Democrates control congress, and the nation's purse strings, there is no way they will not prop up GM as long as it is owned by the union.

After all, having stolen it from the rightful owners, and having handed it over to the union, do you think Obama and his crew are going to let it go down the tubes and underline what a colossal, idiotic, unconstitutional move that was?

The problem that I see here is that there is really no public outcry or any consistant conservative outcry for all this.

The current administration is throwing money around and stouting that they are doing it with our best interest and intentions in mind.

As long as the Dems are alligned with the mainstream media and America cares more about Dancing with the stars results over where their tax dollars are going, we are screwed.
