Imerica has some excellent plans and competitive pricing in some States. GTL - I'm appointed for their health plans as well as their life - we only write the simple issue Whole Life and Term w/ROP.

GR is awesome as well.

American National has excellent Catastrophic Hospitalization and Surgical.

They all pay about 29% - so we let the client choose. We put them all in a comparison and let the client choose depending on what benefits they want.

Someone not needing co-pays and much out outpatient coverage - AN can't be beat on pricing.

Of the two choices the OP asked - I'd go with GR in South Carolina.

From the policy. Yeah, shocking that I would actually bother to read the brochure before offering it to a client.

You probably forgot this, but each carrier has different provisions for each state. The 12 month wait for adult preventive care applies to plans here in GA on all plans except the Copay Select.

I know this is difficult for you to believe, but the world does not revolve around Maryland . . . or New York . . .

The GA brochure I'm looking at says that adult preventative for the HSA 100 is subject to a 3 month wait - no wait for children

I'm sorry you do not understand and I have to explain it to you.

The "standard" benefit in the GR HSA 100 plan is a $500 preventive benefit after a 3 month wait, and after you have satisfied your deductible. You can purchase an optional benefit with a $300 cap on benefits and a $35 copay but you have to wait 12 months to access the benefit.

I don't profess to know everything like you do, but I do know how these plans work.

I was talking about the standard included preventative benefits...which do not have a 12 month wait. Spin it anyway you want.

Care to explain how a preventive benefit is a benefit when you can only access it AFTER you have satisfied the deductible?

Spin it baby!

Nikki at Golden Rule just confirmed:

For all states when you add the wellness benefit to the HSA100, there is no wait!!

Nikki has the abilty to rewrite policy benefits?

That's interesting.

Wow...after the 3 month wait it's not repriced and doesn't count towards the deductible for the standard HSA 100 $500 benefit? Odd.

Your statement not mine. GR does include a wellness benefit for $500 with a three month wait. I'm sorry but your statement was simply incorrect.

First of all, cut out the shots at MD and NY, New York doesn't even have this product!

Let's talk Georgia shall we?

When you pay to add the wellness on the HSA100 (the plan we were discussing) the only 12 month wait is for adult preventative, the $35 co-pay. There is no wait for a PSA, pap or immunization.

It's in the GA brochure.
