Great Seafood             Go to Top

I was reading John's comment today about going to Red Lobster and a thought struck me. I LOVE SEAFOOD.

As such, I started thinking about my favorite type of seafood, crabs and clam chowder. I have lost count about the number of places that I have tried either, so I thought I would make a few recommendations.

The BEST clam chowder that I have ever tasted can be found in two places.

1st Place - http://www.splashcafe.com/
Tiny restaurant on a lovely beach located in Central California. You can order their chowder online or in select Cost-Co locations in California.

2nd - http://www.hiddenboston.com/Grumpys.html
A Family owned restaurant located in Cape Cod, MA. Unfortunately, they do not allow people to order online.

Happy Eating.....

A grill plate shaped like Texas... Doesn't that make everything cold, hard and dry?

Allright then. I take it all back -- It sounds good. What are they stuffed with? I'm from Wisconsin so I have to guess cheese.

My father used to work as a director for a national food company that owned a chain of seafood restaurants. He would have to order alaskan king crab and lobsters by the semi full. When I was a kid we used to eat that stuff for 2 out of 3 meals a day. We even bought a large freezer the size of a refrigerator that we put next to the fridge to hold it all. To this day, I don't like seafood, but I used to.

We, as a huge 3 person family, also have a large freezer. My wife stocks it like she's preparing for the nuclear holocaust.

That might be good planning considering the middle east situation.

Sti, Where is the side of bacon fat? Isn't that a specialty in Texas? Looks damn good though!
