Anyone suggest a guaranteed issue life company? I have some clients that have diabetes and heart troubles that are looking. Thanks.

Don't immediately jump to GI. Some companies will offer 1st day coverage to diabetics with heart troubles. It depends on the many variations of heart troubles.

Plenty of companies will offer underwritten coverage to diabetics, some even at a standard risk class if well controlled. Heart issues can be underwritten too, just depends on the specifics. The cost difference between underwritten and GI won't even be close, even on a rated case.

How much coverage are you looking at? Ht and Wt ok?

You could consider looking at a graded policy, if your carriers don't have a GI or SIWL product available. As for GI, Presidential has a GI product and the Americo Ultra Protector III is another option.

As jdeasy said, it really depends on the severity of the heart troubles, and how long ago they were. Talk to your underwriters if you're not sure a product will be placed. They should be able to give you a risk analysis and give you a ball park idea if a client would be placed or not.

Foresters can be written on level coverage regardless of insulin amount if they are not diabetic amputees in the last 2 yrs.

United Home Life has a graded product that's pretty good. You can get a good contract from Mark Rosenthal for that company.

I have companies that will write a diabetic taking no more than 80 units first day coverage. Need to know more about the heart as to how long since his last heart attack, bypass, surgery etc.
