I can't speak to Humana, but I understand that if you want advances for Anthem (in CA) you wind up with 16% commission instead of 20%. That's a decrease of 20%.
Don't know if the above is true from personal experience and don't know about Humana, but this is likely what the discussion is about.

Will have to find out. Might get a commish cut with a direct 12mo advance.
Spoke with Scott and joined them the following week. Also took the advice here and joined IHIAA on 9/19. As a newbie to most of this stuff, I can only say both of these organizations have been very honest, helpful, and responsive to any needs/questions I've submitted.
I'm currently waiting on the appointments Scott recommended, while consuming the video training and attending the daily webinars they present. Lots of other agents providing a very positive environment to LEARN! Scott, Eric, and John have all been very helpful.

Not for nothing, but yes they have been very helpful in helping me set up. I wouldnt have anytype of clue what to do and probably would have had to work at some sort of sweatshop for a few months until I figured out that wasnt for me...
