I think he is referring to GA compensation. We can all get a higher % if we had an 800 agent downline.

I am sure it isn't. They might receive 5%-10%-15% off our policies, not HCO per se, amongst all GA's.

I can't speak to Humana, but I understand that if you want advances for Anthem (in CA) you wind up with 16% commission instead of 20%. That's a decrease of 20%.

Don't know if the above is true from personal experience and don't know about Humana, but this is likely what the discussion is about.

Will have to find out. Might get a commish cut with a direct 12mo advance.

...maybe he's talking about renewals. for example 5% to 4% is a 20% decrease.

Spoke with Scott and joined them the following week. Also took the advice here and joined IHIAA on 9/19. As a newbie to most of this stuff, I can only say both of these organizations have been very honest, helpful, and responsive to any needs/questions I've submitted.

I'm currently waiting on the appointments Scott recommended, while consuming the video training and attending the daily webinars they present. Lots of other agents providing a very positive environment to LEARN! Scott, Eric, and John have all been very helpful.

Not for nothing, but yes they have been very helpful in helping me set up. I wouldnt have anytype of clue what to do and probably would have had to work at some sort of sweatshop for a few months until I figured out that wasnt for me...

Re: Health Choice One?             Go to Top

Agreed. Most agents fall in the agency pit; sub-street commish, promise of "free leads" that never materializes.

Then they get handed off to their "manager" - who's trying to become a millionaire off overrides and it's "SELL SELL SELL!!!"

Of course, it's $5,000 ded CoreMed and by the time they figured out they've been had it's too late.

Don't consider moving to Florida, it's already too crowded.

Go direct to the other carriers or sell out of state. Same in my state, so I submit very little business through HCO.
