Health ins. for an 88 year old???

Stopped into a store today and the woman asked if she could get some kind of health coverate for her 88 year old father. They came from China so they are not covered by Medicare.

I thought you could buy-into Medicare?

Is there any kind of coverage you can get?

Can you even get burial insurance at 88?

I would not think so, but I ask just in case someone knows something.

You can buy in to Medicare, but I am not sure of the qualifications. Seems like you have to have been in the US 2 years, but that may not be right.
